Colonoscopies Have Never Been So Funny :)

No one (at least no one I know) looks forward to having a colonoscopy. But I’ll tell you what… this one is hilarious. Lou Rawls and Damon Wayans in a funny video classic. Combine a heavy, rough-around-the-edges nurse, a disco ball, and a colonoscope. Just the look on Damon Wayans’ face is priceless.

Patients already say some funny things during conscious sedation, what if Lou Rawls was putting you under like this? Imagine the things you’d say.

Possible Names for Medical Musical Groups – Part 1

What if some popular musicians went to medical school or nursing school? First of all, they would’ve made a lot less money and would’ve had a lot less debt starting out. But that’s beside the point. The real question is… how would a health care background have changed their stage names?

  • Public Enema
  • Grateful Full Codes
  • Pee Dribbly
  • Joan Urojet
  • Counting Colace
  • LL Stool J
  • Hemmie and the Colectomies
  • 50 Cent CoPay
  • Rage Against the Administrators
  • Nine Inch Needles

A tad cheesy, but we have plenty more coming out in Part 2. Got some of your own? Post a comment below (no patient identifiers, no copyrighted material, and we can do with it whatever we want). Or, just let us know your favorite. Post a comment now.

Stool Chart Reads Like Breakfast Menu

This is a legitimate scale for stool qualityThis is a legitimate scale for stool quality

I take no issue with describing stool quality for medical purposes. I take no issue with graphic representation of those qualities. And, I take no issue with creating a scale for easier communication between doctors, nurses, and other health care providers.

I do, however, take issue with the fact that it reads like a breakfast menu…

Obese Lady Uncovers ET’s Opiate Addiction

ET's pinpoint pupils in the ER prompt a tox screenET's pinpoint pupils in the ER prompt a tox screen

It has been said by middle school boys throughout the states, that ET’s eyes were so big because he was actually sitting on his own family jewels. That’s all well and good, but what is little known now, is that ET has become heavily reliant on opiates for pain control. Thus, the pinpoint pupils.

This, of course, is another real CT scan… this time, it’s an obese lady’s scan, just below the hips. The femurs on either side make up ET’s pupils.

Got a funny radiology image?… Send it our way. (No patient identifiers, no copyrights, and we can do with it whatever we want.)
